KJPS Superhero Day supports local pre-school in need

Learners at Kloof Junior Primary School were happy to contribute to a good cause.

KLOOF Junior Primary School (KJPS) hosted a Superhero Day as part of their 2024 theme, “Be a Hero,” which encourages learners to make a positive impact in their community and recognise everyday heroes.

Learners arrived dressed as their favorite superheroes, not just in costume but in action — bringing donations of jam, peanut butter, and other spreads for a local pre-school supporting underprivileged children.

KJPS marketing manager Mandisa Majola said the pre-school, which provides daily lunches through a non-profit organisation, was in urgent need of food supplies to sustain its feeding programme for the coming weeks.

“Thanks to KJP’s initiative, the school received essential provisions to continue supporting its young learners. Through events like Superhero Day, KJP continues to instil the values of kindness, generosity, and community service in its students,” she said.
