Police investigating Nazareth murder

Police say the victim's family has indicated that the deceased was associated with the taxi industry but the police cannot confirm whether the incident is taxi-related.

THE PINETOWN SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a man was shot outside his residence in Nazareth on Wednesday, January 28, night at around 21:30.

The station’s communications officer Jennifer Naidu said the victim, who was inside of his vehicle at the time of the attack, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at Crompton Hospital.

“According to the family, the deceased was associated with the taxi industry. However, police cannot confirm whether the incident is taxi-related. The victim has not yet been formally identified, and no arrests have been made. Circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation,” said Naidu.

She added that members of the public with information are urged to contact the Pinetown Police Station or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
