Hillcrest cops collect food parcels to commemorate Women’s Day

The home extends a word of gratitude to the Hillcrest Police Station and the community at large for the donation made.

TO commemorate Women’s Day, the Hillcrest SAPS collected food parcels which were handed over to the Born Again Disabled Children’s home in Embo on Tuesday (August 11).

The parcels were donated by various sponsors, community members and stakeholders, said the station’s communications officer Sergeant Nokuphila Mchunu.

“The donated food parcels were handed over to Born Again Disabled Children’s Home in Embo to assist with the daily needs of the children.

“The initiative promoted Ubuntu, community participation and partnership between SAPS and the community. Hillcrest SAPS sincerely appreciates all sponsors and individuals who contributed towards making the initiative a success. A little goes a long way,” said Mchunu.

The home’s Queen Ncube expressed gratitude towards the Hillcrest SAPS and all other donors who contributed towards the initiative.

“We appreciate every gift you donated to our Born Again Disabled Children’s Home. We as Born Again would like to say thank you to all the stakeholders from the Hillcrest community,” said Ncube.
