Kloof SPCA appeals for blankets, dog food as cold spell continues
Donations can be dropped off at the Kloof and Highway SPCA or at its thrift shops in Hillcrest, Kloof and Assagay.

AS another cold spell settles in, the Kloof and Highway SPCA has appealed for blankets and tin dog food.
Operations manager Sarah van Heerden acknowledged that while every kennel has a heating lamp to keep the animals warm, there is something special about the comfort of a soft blanket to curl up in and the security of knowing their next meal is waiting for them.

“Many of our dogs have come from difficult circumstances. Some have never known the comfort of a loving home, a warm bed, or a family to call their own. While they wait for that second chance, we do everything we can to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible,” said Van Heerden.
She explained that a donated blanket becomes a warm, safe place to rest.
“A tin of food helps fill hungry tummies and provides comfort during these cold winter days.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Kloof and Highway SPCA or any of their external Thrift Shops:
Hillcrest Thrift Shop (The Junction, No 5-9 Inanda Road, Hillcrest)
