Interruption of health services in some areas in West of Durban

The eThekwini Municipality apologises for the interruption of health services in the Durban West areas.

HEALTH services are expected to resume as soon as the water in a flooded bridge subsides in Ward 2, West of Durban. This was after the eThekwini Municipality reported that the mobile clinics were unable to cross a flooded bridge between January 4 and 5. 

The affected places include Mqeku, Mkhizwane, KwaNqethu, Matata and surrounding areas.

The eThekwini Municipality’s Health Unit would like to inform community members residing in Ward 2, west of Durban, of an interruption to clinical health services today. Mobile clinics were unable to cross a flooded bridge to render healthcare services to the community.

The unit apologises to the affected communities for the inconvenience caused, saying services will resume as soon as the water subsides.
