Pinetown police arrest 3 suspects for house robbery

Of the 4 house robbery suspects, 3 have been arrested, but one of the suspects is still at large.

PINETOWN police arrested three suspects, aged 16 and 22, for house robbery. Communications officer Bongumusa Manqele said the suspects were arrested after a 23-year-old victim, whose residence is on Alagappa Road in Motala Heights, near Westmead, was intruded on by four suspects.

“It is alleged that one suspect produced a firearm before the victim was robbed of his jewellery and a tablet. It is further alleged that some suspects were the tenants at the same address and they left because they could not afford to pay rent,” he said.

One suspect was arrested at his workplace in Westmead, and the two were arrested in the Bayview area. The fourth suspect is still at large.
