Eventful start to the year for Cheshire Home
The Fun day was a success and all proceeds will go towards operating costs.
CHESHIRE Home was abuzz recently as the home hosted its first open day of the year. There were numerous stalls, each selling its own fare, ranging from arts and crafts, books, toys, food, stuffed animals, household items, a tea garden and much more.
Manager Brian Rossenrode said events such as these are important to Cheshire Home as proceeds go towards the operating costs. “We host various open days, fêtes and bazaars throughout the year, which we encourage locals to support by coming out and purchasing items from the stalls,” he said.

The next events on the home’s social calendar include a Cars in the Park, a Hobby, and Craft Fair, as well as a Fête and Christmas Fair later on in the year. “We would love for people to become involved, even as a volunteer,” said Rossenrode. He also encouraged individuals to visit the Charity Shop, which is open every Tuesday and Friday from 08:00 to noon.
“If you have any items at home that are still in good condition that you’d like to get rid of, drop them off at our offices, and we’ll take them off your hands,” he said. The home is situated at 890 Main Road, Moseley. You can also follow Queensburgh Cheshire Home – Charity shop for updates or call them on 031 708 4747.
