JUST IN: One person killed in N3-Durban-bound shooting

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes as the N3 Durban-bound is closed.

THE N3 Durban-bound is currently closed following a shooting incident as well as an accident which involved a bakkie near the Pavilion.

ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said one person has been killed as a result of the shooting incident.

Jamieson reported that multiple patients are being treated at the scene by paramedics as a result of both the shooting as well as the car accident.

“One person has been declared deceased by paramedics as a result of the shooting, and four workers from the bakkie accident sustained minor injuries.

“At this stage, the circumstances of this incident, as well as who is involved, are unknown and will form part of SAPS investigations,” he said.

He added that the N3 Durban-bound will be closed for some time and advised all motorists to avoid this route at all costs.
