Community members had the opportunity to engage with staff and have their questions answered. Speaking to the Highway Mail, Nosipho Sibisi from the New Germany Library emphasised the library’s role in providing vital information.
“The role of libraries in communities is to provide knowledge, and Breast Cancer Awareness was a great opportunity to play that role. The idea was to provide basic information about breast cancer, such as the importance of screening and recognising symptoms and avenues for screening, diagnosis and treatment,” she said.
