Suspects nabbed at jewellery store with stolen goods
The police say the jewellery recovered was robbed from a store in East London earlier this year and is of the value of R130 000.
TWO suspects were arrested on Wednesday after the police raided a jewellery store in Westville where stolen expensive goods were recovered.
Westville SAPS spokesperson, Captain Elizabeth Squires, confirmed the arrest of the two suspects aged 28 and 38 who were detained at the Westville police station for further investigation.
The arrests are a result of a multi-disciplinary operation which involved police from Westville and Pinetown, Crime Intelligence as well as various security companies who raided a jewellery store at the Westwood Mall in Westville on Wednesday afternoon.

Expensive stolen watches, which are suspected to have been robbed from a jewellery store in East London earlier this year, were recovered.
“The value of the jewellery recovered is R130 000. The suspects have been charged for Section 36, Section 37, contravention of the Second Hand Goods Act and defeating the ends of justice,” said Squires.
