Cops bust cannabis dealer in Westville
Police say a 30-year-old man was detained at the Westville SAPS for Contravention of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act no.140 of 1992 Section 5(b), dealing in narcotics/dagga.
THE police successfully bust a cannabis dealer in the Westville area who was described as “thriving” despite not possessing the required licence and registration.
Westville SAPS communications officer Captain Elizabeth Squires said members of the station’s crime prevention unit and those of its organised crime counterpart on Thursday “executed a buy and bust operation at a suspected thriving cannabis dealing facility in the Westville area”.
“Acting on a duly issued search warrant, members entered the premises and recovered a significant quantity of cannabis and cannabis-related products,” said Squires.
