Hillcrest Bowling Club supports local NPO

The Hillcrest Bowling Club recently hosted a Women's Day Tournament where they collected essential items for the Hearts in Hands Non-Profit Organisation (NPO).

HILLCREST Bowling Club collected a pile of toiletries, sanitary pads, and essential items at their recent Women’s Day Tournament in support of the Hearts in Hands NPO Women’s Month drive.

Tracy Klokie, founder of Hearts in Hands, said this donation will make a massive impact on the young women in the community whom the NPO will be visiting at the end of August.

“We are blown away by this massive collection and are grateful to the Hillcrest Bowling Club for their generosity and for standing with us in uplifting the women in our community. Their support is truly heartwarming,” said Klokie.

She added that Hearts in Hands continues to drive initiatives that support both children and women, with a special focus during Women’s Month on providing essentials that many go without.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
