Woman killed in Pinetown collision

ALS Paramedics said they responded to numerous calls for medical assistance on Underwood Road near Hans Detman Road in Pinetown.

A WOMAN was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning when two cars collided on Underwood Road near Hans Detman Road in Pinetown West.

Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said, upon arrival, paramedics found carnage.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that one of the drivers, a female believed to be in her forties, had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing paramedics could do for her.

“The woman was declared deceased on the scene,” reported Jamieson.

He added that two occupants from the second vehicle were not injured in the collision.
