Security company collects blood ahead of the festive season

JAG Security in Kloof recently hosted a blood drive to help stock up on blood supplies for the festive season. The event also featured free health screenings, including blood pressure and sugar testing, courtesy of First Responder KZN.

WITH the festive season looming, JAG Security recently hosted a blood drive at their premises at 1 Old Main Road, Kloof, to help save lives during the busy period.

On the day the company’s Medical Emergency Response partner, ‘First Responder KZN’ had a team on site providing free blood-pressure and sugar testing.

“We will make it an ongoing thing since we received a lot of support. We collected 24 pints of blood on the day,” she said.

Christmas Gift Donation

The company also appealed to the public to bring joy to the children at Malvern Children’s Home.

Myburgh said the home looks after 76 children.

“We appeal to people to contact us for the gender and age of a child in the home’s care, together with the clothing item size. People can also sweeten the children’s day by adding a small toy or sweetie.”

She said the wrapped gift can then be hand-delivered to their office for distribution to the home during December.

“Donor’s contact details will be shared with the Children’s Home.”
