Durban’s ‘Best Biltong Place’ celebrates 20 years
Billie Boys Westville, voted Best Biltong in Durban, celebrates 20 years of crafting high-quality biltong. Founded in 2005, the brand has grown to six stores.
BILLIE Boys Westville was voted Best Biltong in the Best of Durban Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.
Founded in 2005 at Beacon Bay Retail Park in East London, business manager Jax Davis said Billie Boys began with a simple promise: to craft the finest biltong in Africa, served with heart, quality, and excellence.
“Two decades later, the brand has grown, evolved, and refined its craft, opening and closing stores along the journey and learning from every step.”

She proudly said, “Today, Billie Boys operates six stores: five across KwaZulu-Natal and the original East London location, which continues to stand strong where it all began.”

She said at the centre of Billie Boys’ success is a commitment to unwavering quality and exceptional customer service.
“Some team members have been part of the story since day one, while others celebrate 10- and five-year milestones this year.

With the festive season looming, trading hours vary per store, but all locations guarantee opening between 09:00 and 18:00 daily. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day for a well-deserved break.
