JUST IN: Bystander shot twice in New Germany armed robbery

Three other people, including two guards, sustained minor injuries.

A BYSTANDER has been critically injured after being shot twice in the abdomen during a cash-in-transit heist in New Germany.

The incident occurred on Shepstone Road, near Otto Volek Road this evening, Thursday, December 18.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported that several cars were hit by stray bullets as the suspects fled the scene.

“Two guards and another member of the public sustained minor injuries.”

He advised people to avoid the area as the road is closed for investigation.
