Resident thankful for Elders Voice donation

Bronwin Pitt's sixth year of collecting donations for The Elders Voice Christmas hampers was a massive success, with 350 hampers distributed to residents and carers. The hampers included toiletries and sweets, bringing immense joy to the elderly recipients.

PINETOWN resident Bronwin Pitt has extended a huge thank you to every single person who donated towards her Christmas hampers for The Elders Voice.

Pitt said it was her sixth year asking for donations so that she could make Christmas hampers for every single resident, as well as the carers at The Elders Voice.

“The 2025 challenge was bigger than ever, 350 hampers. That meant 350 of everything on my list… and we did it.

“Once again, I came close to calling it off due to the slow response when I first reached out for donations. But just like that, the support picked up, and it turned out to be the best year yet,” she said beaming with a smile.

“I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who played a part in making this possible. Without the donations and the incredible public support, none of this would have happened.

“Pitt said the oldies were absolutely over the moon when they received their hampers, one bag filled with toiletries and another with sweets.

“Many of them started enjoying their sweets the moment they received them. Seeing that joy is what makes my heart so happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” said a grateful Pitt.
