Double the joy: Pre-school celebrates 3 sets of twins
A New Germany pre-school is celebrating a rare and joyful milestone after enrolling three sets of twins among its 40 learners.
A SMALL pre-school in New Germany is celebrating welcoming three sets of twins among its learners.
New Germany Lutheran Pre-Primary School principal Trish Bentley said it is the first time the school has had three sets of twins enrolled simultaneously.
With only 40 learners currently attending the school, Bentley said they feel honoured to experience such a special occurrence.

“It’s lovely having them around. As they say in African culture, twins are a blessing. The parents at our school are in awe that we have so many,” she said.
When asked how the school manages twin dynamics in the classroom, Bentley explained that each child is treated as an individual.
“Each twin has their own identity and character, so they are treated as individuals, although the twin bond is always there. The most difficult part is knowing which twin is who, as they only have subtle differences,” she said with a smile.
Bentley added that while the twins share a special bond and often play together, teachers have noticed that they also form friendships with other learners and enjoy playing in groups.
