TGRC visited the school on Monday (March 16), and engaged with the learners and educators on the importance of recycling and participating in the competition.
On the day, the school also received a cheque of R20 000 from TGRC for its second place position in the competition.

The school thanked its learners who arrive early every morning to help sort the recycling.
“Our gratitude also goes to The Glass Recycling Company for this wonderful initiative and to the many parents and companies who bring their empty glass bottles to school every week. It is so important that we look after the environment. Recycling allows us to keep as much rubbish out of the dump as possible and to reuse old bottles and jars so that we are not using up new resources all the time.
“If you are looking to recycle old glass bottles, please make your way to Kloof Senior Primary,” said the school.
