Police investigate Pinetown deadly shooting

Pinetown SAPS have appealed for public assistance following the fatal shooting of a 46-year-old man on Underwood Road on Wednesday night.

PINETOWN Police are investigating a case of murder following a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Underwood Road, Pinetown, on Wednesday night, July 15.

According to Pinetown SAPS communications officer Jennifer Naidu, police responded to reports of a shooting, at approximately 19:20 and, upon arrival at the scene, found a 46-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle.

“He was declared deceased at the scene,” said Naidu.

She said the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage and forms part of the ongoing investigation.

“Detectives are following up on all available leads, and no arrests have been made.”

Police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation to contact Pinetown SAPS on 082 557 8282/031 325 6794 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
