EDITOR – I was recently alerted to a horrific scene on the N3 Freeway, Durban bound were a pedestrian had been run over by someone who failed to stop sometime in the early hours of Thursday, 3 July 2014.

The pedestrian was subsequently killed and as it occurred during dusk the emerging rush hour traffic including trucks, taxis and the general public drove over her lifeless body, too gruesome to elaborate.

The authorities were alerted around 2pm that day, and this was after alert tow truck operators noticed something suspicious next to the roadside (photos too grim to share).

I was summonsed to the scene to verify that in fact it was human remains and not someone’s dog. I also was able to establish the sex and race.

My photos also show skid marks indicating a double axle vehicle at the point of impact. The matter I wish to alert readers to is, if anyone can supply any information of what happened, or witnessed anything that may help police shed any light on this matter, they can contact Andreas @SA CAN 0861672226 and see if we can help get closure and dignity in death to this victim of a horrific incident that remains unresolved.
