Thank you for your selfless efforts

A Hillcrest resident expresses her appreciation to those who assisted her dog recently.

Editor – I would like to thank the kind people who stopped along Galloway Road to help rescue my beloved Jack Russell.

I was walking along the road with my dogs on a leash, when sadly one got too close to a fence where three big dogs were barking. One of the big dogs behind the fence gripped my Jack Russell by the ear and pulled him through the fence, where other dogs also got involved. People were pressing their car hooters while others were shouting to get the attention of the people in the house.

Despite all their efforts, my poor dog didn’t stand a chance.

Thank you to John Walker, Wayne, a kind young woman and a man who spared me the horror of seeing the result, by carrying my dog in his arms while Wayne drove to the closest vet. Thank you to everyone else that may have been involved who I never got to meet. Westriding Watch also came to our assistance.
