EDITOR – It has now been more than a month since the roads department stripped the old tar from the stretch of the N3 between the St John’s on-ramp and the Westville/Durban split.
They have simply left this part of the highway in this state, and as a result of no re-surfacing having been done (and the constant heavy daily traffic), large and deep potholes are now forming where there should have been new layers of tar by now.
What is happening and when will this work finally be completed?
It is bad enough having Pinetown looking like a warzone, thanks to the ongoing GO!Durban debarcle, but do we also have to now worry about damaging our vehicles on the N3 too?
