Lack of visible signage causes confusion

Pinetown resident, Juan Du Toit, expresses his concern for the busy intersection at Beviss Road, Suffert Street and Oppenheimer Road in Pinetown.

THE newly changed road from free-flow along Beviss Road, crossing over Suffert Street and Oppenheimer Road, is now a four-way stop with hardly visible stop signs in place.

I unfortunately came very close to smashing into a gentleman on his motorbike today due to the lack of visibility of these signs which are hardly the correct size or positioned in the right place.

A witness and worker from across the road at the scene was just as shocked at the method of these intersections and has, too, noticed many close calls lately and agrees 100 percent.

It’s an accident in the making and will soon be devastating.
