AT last. Today (28 July), we have had our first full day of internet. Switched on this morning and there it was as though the last 44 days never happened. Held our breath for the rest of the day and now at 8.51pm still going. Wonderful. I should have written to the Highway Mail weeks ago.
Thank you for your help in connecting us to people who offered their help, the main one being Ashley Gordon of Telkom in Johannesburg.
We were contacted by Mr. Majola of the New Germany Telkom Depot, who said we would be sorted out in two days on completion of the laying of a new cable.
Well he was correct.
