Pinetown motorists take strain

"We would like the Metro Police to do their jobs so we can get to ours on time"

I AM a Caversham resident, and I am among the many frustrated residents of Caversham and Ashley.

Every morning we have to wait almost 10 minutes in traffic starting from the four-way stop by Caltex garage and the T-junction of Caversham Road and Creak Street.

We, as residents, are wondering why do we get stuck in traffic when there are Metro Police and especially because they were recently training new officers, which means they have recruited new police.

There is only one policeman who’s always on duty and it is the one who controls traffic just after the traffic lights before Gelofte Skool.

We would like the Metro Police to do their jobs so we can get to ours on time as well.  Caversham, Ashley, Gelofte Skool, traffic, letter to the editor,

The Highway Mail did request comment from Metro Police before going to print.
