Take note: Amashova road closures
Certain roads will be closed from Pieterrmaritzburg to Suncoast Casino on Sunday 12 October.

THE Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic is around the corner and on the day, Sunday 12 October, the three races, 106km, 65km half Challenge and 35km Family Fun Ride are all supported by full road closures.
The 106km will kick off outside the Pietermaritzburg City Hall at 6.45am while the 65km starts at Drew Road in Cato Ridge at 5.30am and the 35km starts outside Lillies Quarter in Hillcrest at 5.30am.
Road closure guideline times along the route are as follows:
· Chief Albert Luthuli Street to Alexandra Road: 4am to 9.30am
· Alexandra Road to Umlaas Road: 5am to 11.15am
· Umlaas Road to R103 Inchanga/1000 Hills: 4.30am to 12.15pm.
· R103 Inchanga to Botha’s Hill Butchery: 4.30 to 1pm.
· R103 Patna Road to Kassier Road/M13 on ramp: 4.30am to 1.15pm.
· M13 Hillcrest to M13 Westville: 4.15am to 2.45pm.
· M13 Westville to M13 45th Cutting: 4.15am to 2.45pm.
· N2 Outbound to Monty Naiker Street: 5am to 3.15pm.
· Monty Naiker Street (Pine Street): 4am to 3.30pm.
· Masabalala Yengwa Ave (North Bound): 4am to 4pm.
For those cycling, the first cut off is at the Inchanga Caravan Park (45.5kms into the race) at 12.15pm and the second cut off is outside the Botha’s Hill Butchery (60.2kms into the race) at 1pm. The third cut off is at Kassier Road, just before the on ramp to the M13 (67kms into the race) at 1.30pm with the fourth cut off under the pedestrian bridge along the M13, just before exit 17 to Pinetown, Queensburgh and St Johns Avenue (82kms into the race) at 2pm. The fifth cut off is at 45th Cutting, under the bridge near the N3 off ramp (91.2kms into the race) at 2.30pm and the final cut off is at the finish line at Suncoast Casino at 3pm.
