Pinetown Raiders warm up against Harlequins
Pinetown Raiders will take on the South Coast Warriors at the end of February.

LAST Saturday, the Pinetown Raiders travelled to the Bluff to take on the Harlequins in a friendly, warm-up match.
The match was played over four 20-minute sessions, with the first session being played in the middle of the field with both sides testing the water, as both teams had not taken part in a contact match since last season.
During the second session, the Harlequins brought on their impact players, which gave them the advantage to score two tries in quick succession. In the third session, the Pinetown Raiders’ club chairman, Leigh McNeill, broke the drought for the Raiders team. The heat was getting to both sides and the forth session saw only one more try from each team.
Several attempts from the youngsters in the Raiders team went unrewarded but they stayed persistent, and Tyrone Steyn went over the line for second try. “All in all, the coaches and management team at Pinetown Raiders are very happy with the promising performance from all the players. We would like to thank Harlequins for the game and the two referees, who also had a warm-up for the season to come,” said Leigh McNeill.
Take part in the Pinetown Raiders’ training every Tuesday and Thursday at the Ashley Sports Grounds from 5:30pm. The next match for the team is the 7s
Tournament at the South Coast Warriors on 27 February, 2016.
