Littlies learn art of mini rugby

Dozens of youngsters from various clubs gathered at the Collegians Rugby Club to test their skills on the rugby field.

THE fourth leg in the mini rugby season kicked off at the Collegians Rugby Club as littlies from U7 to U11 took charge of the field.

All the teams had a fantastic day playing in the shadows of the mighty Growth Point Stadium where the U7 to U10 teams competed fiercely to win their respective games.

“Since there is no log kept for these mini teams, and the focus is on developing the understanding of the game while learning basic skills, there are no published results but it must be said that all clubs in these ages groups were well represented,” said Justin Scott, the marketing manager for DRSU Youth Rugby.
