Hannah’s heart lives to perform

St Mary's DSG SPAR Star of the Month - May 2017.

HANNAH Norcott, a Grade 11 St Mary’s DSG learner, is this month’s Spar Star of the Month.

Hannah is an exceptional and adaptive actress and a talented singer and musician. She has starred in many staged productions throughout the years and leaves a lasting impression on those who have had the pleasure of watching her perform.

This year, Hannah was cast as Alice in the St Mary’s High School production of Alice in Wonderland and has just completed a busy week as the female lead in Kearsney College’s Blood Brothers.

She has been in a school play every year since Grade 8 and has been cast in many outside productions. Hannah is set to tour Germany as part of the St Mary’s Music Tour later this year and is soloist in the song Man in the Mirror.

In Grade 8 and 9 Hannah was first in the grade and in Grade 10 she received an honours badge.

She is now working towards an honours pocket, in Grade 11, for achieving an aggregate of more than 85 per cent.

Like her mother, Cindy Norcott, founder of the Robin Hood Foundation, Hannah has a heart for people and giving back.

She aims to study Musical Theatre Performance Arts at AFDA or UCT in Cape Town and dreams about performing in the West End, on Broadway or in film one day.

“We look forward to seeing your name in lights one day Hannah,” said Lisa Abbott, the school’s marketing and communications administrator.
