Sterling results for Kearsney footie team

The local team scored a 2 - nil win against the Clifton players.

A STRONG south-easterly wind made conditions difficult on Saturday, turning the Kearsney – Clifton clash into an aerial battle, which hosts Kearsney eventually won 2-0.

Kearsney College dominated the early exchanges and enjoyed much of the possession. Dane Mertsch missed a first-minute goal which went wide, he found himself again in space on the left flank with only the goalkeeper to beat, but his shot went wide again.
