Kearsney nets thrilling draw
The local team claimed a one-all tie against St Charles College at the weekend.
KEARSNEY drew with St Charles in a thrilling hockey match that proved to be great to watch as both sides created numerous chances to score.
The local team controlled most of the game and St Charles made opportunities on the counter attack. St Charles’ defence had some stand-out performances, made some telling tackles as well as crucial interceptions.

Kearsney finally won a penalty corner where its vice-captain, Chase Kelly, capitalised with the first goal of the game. But St Charles hit back shortly thereafter, as their striker intercepted a pass which left him one on one with the Kearsney keeper.
He took his chance and scored the equaliser.
