Young cricketers brace for festival
Several local teams will compete for the top spot in the Kingsmead Mynahs U11 Cricket Festival.

SIXTEEN primary school teams will participate in the annual Kingsmead Mynahs U11 cricket festival at Kearsney College from 27 to 29 September.
The teams will each play six games over the three play days and all games will be played according to the T20 format.
The teams competing include the Hillcrest Hotshots, Highbury Hurricanes, Winston Park Pythons, Curro HCA Pinch Hitters, Kloof Cobras, Westville Warriors, Athol All Stars, St Charles Strikers, Pelham Panthers, Northlanders, Crawford Cyclones, Umhlali Dolphins, Ashton Aces and RPC Mambas, as well as two new teams this year, South Coast Stars and the Robbie Coutts’ Challengers.

The organisers thanked the event sponsors, Kingsmead Mynahs, T-shirt Manufacturers and Betts Construction for their support.
The Kearsney Coffee Shop will be open for the duration of the festival for supporters wanting to watch some of the province’s hottest young cricketing talent and the CricKIT Shop will also sell cricket gear and equipment.
