Take a nature hike

THE Highway branch of WESSA and the Kloof Conservancy will host two guided walks in Glenholme Nature Reserve in August. The reserve is situated in the grounds of the Kloof and Highway SPCA. The first walk is on Sunday 11 August, and the group will meet in the main car park at 8am for an 8.30am start. The guide for this walk will concentrate on the flora and fauna of the reserve. The second walk will be on Saturday 17 August, which will start at the Tea Garden at 10am. The guide for this walk will speak about the history of the Kloof and Gillitts area, Glenholme and the SPCA. An added advantage of the Saturday walk is that the tea room and the SPCA shops will be open before and after the walk. There is no charge but donations towards the further upkeep of the reserve would be appreciated.
