Pavilion celebrates Women’s Month with soothing sounds
The Pavilion Shopping Centre is hosting two live performances by the KwaZulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, August 16. Entrance is free, everyone is welcome.
IN celebration of Women’s Month, The Pavilion Shopping Centre will present two complimentary live performances by the acclaimed KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, August 16.
The one-hour free concerts will take place at 11:00 and again at 13:00 in the Fountain Court on the Cinema Level.
Following the overwhelming response to their previous performances at The Pavilion, the Orchestra, under the baton of popular resident conductor Chad Hendricks, returns with a specially curated programme.

Audiences can look forward to a selection of orchestral favourites, light classical pieces, and well-loved show tunes. Acclaimed vocalist Andile Ndlela joins the Orchestra as featured soloist.
The centre management said shoppers can look forward to a diverse repertoire featuring orchestral favourites, light classical works, and beloved popular songs, including selections from Skyfall, a Sound of Music Medley, I Have Nothing, I’m Every Woman, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and Over the Rainbow.
“Hosting the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra is always a privilege, and we are especially excited to celebrate Women’s Month through the universal language of music,” said Vicky Deppe, general manager of Pavilion Shopping Centre.
“These free performances provide a unique opportunity for our community to experience the magic of a live orchestra while enjoying all that The Pavilion has to offer.”
All are invited to join The Pavilion on August 16 for an inspiring celebration of music, culture, and Women’s Month.
