BAROQUE 2000’s new season begins on Sunday 30 March at 11am with a concert at the attractive and acoustically excellent Church of the Monastery in Mariannhill.
A programme of rich and joyful music has been compiled with the Serenade for 8 in C Major by Johan Joseph Fux, the Concerto Grosso Op 3 No 4 in F major by Georg Friedrich Handel, the suite No. 1 in A minor by Georg Philip Telemann and the famous Battaglia for 9 by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber.
These works will also feature the festive sounds of trumpets and oboes.
