Watch a cookie crumble at Catalina Theatre

Theatre lovers are urged to support Sivani Chinappan’s debut performance in A Cookie in the Kitchen.

POLART Productions presents, A Cookie in the Kitchen, a poignant production written and directed by Vivian Moodley, produced by Pranesh Maharaj and featuring Sivani Chinappan, which is set to entertain residents from 24 March to 31 March at Catalina Theatre, Wilson’s Wharf, at 7pm.

A Cookie in the Kitchen tells the story of ‘every women’. Chinappan, in her theatrical debut, will take the audience on a journey through her daily chores in the kitchen, where she reminisces of her life as a young careless girl – the life she had before she became a wife.

In the end Chinappan’s character makes sense of who she is.

Chinappan is a BA Drama-English-Legal Studies graduate from UKZN, and she is currently studying LLB.

She is a South Indian classical dancer who graduated in Barathanatyam in 2003 under SA’s Kumari Ambigay and furthered her studies annually in Chennai India.

The talented performer choreographed Ronnie Govender’s Botoo and teaches Speech and Drama for Helen O’Grady Drama Academy and performs in Lotus FM’s Radio Drama, Sunshine Mall, as Pinky.
