Hop on down to Easter events

There is lots of fun to be had for the whole family this Easter weekend.

The hunt is on at Hillcrest Corner

LITTLIES can enjoy a bout of Easter egg hunting at the Hillcrest Corner on Saturday 19 April.

Instead of chocolate covered eggs, rumour has it the Easter bunny will instead hide coloured tokens around the food court and Pirate’s Cove, which can be later exchanged for Easter eggs.

There will be three tokens in different colours which will represent which egg the lucky child will receive.

Registration for the hunt will start at 8am on the Saturday and the search for the tokens will begin at 9am.

Easter party for orphanage

EASTER is a time for celebration and Westville resident, Cherissa Thulukanam wants to make it more significant for underprivileged children.

As the owner of RED Cherry Kiddies Events, she is hosting a fun day and Easter egg hunt for an orphanage, at the Japanese Gardens on 20 April. The name of the orphanage will be revealed once transport arrangements have been finalised.

Sponsorship is needed for Easter eggs, cakes, party packs, juice/cooldrinks, hotdogs and sandwiches, ice-cream, a jumping castle, entertainment for the children, transport hire and assistance to set up the venue.

Thulukanam extends the invite to anyone who would like to come along with their children for a fun filled day and network with other parents. For further information, contact Cherissa Thulukanam on 083 393 8332 or email party@redcherrykiddiesevents.co.za

Celebrate Easter with a furry friend

THE Coastal Horse Care Unit and Animal lodge will host a Horse and Hound Extravaganza on Monday 21 April from 9am to 3pm.

Take along your dog and enter the fun and exciting competitions taking place on the day for R10 per class.

There is also the super dog challenge where dogs can navigate the fun obstacle course for R20.

You can also watch the amazing horse and dog displays in the arena, browse through the fleamarket (refreshments will be available for two and four-legged visitors) and there will be a Bugs Bunny Easter egg hunt for the children.

The event will take place at it’s premises in Cato Ridge (Take the 53rd Exit (Cato Ridge) off the N3 and follow the signs). Parking will be available at R25 per vehicle, which includes a ticket into the lucky draw.
