Licensed vehicles early

IN response to Reverse Gear’s letter, our family was in the same situation where we had numerous licence discs expiring at different times during the year.

I recently discovered at the motor licensing department in Pinetown that we are able to license vehicles early and a pro rata amount is paid for the months from expiry date to the following year’s new renewal date. I have managed to align our licence renewal dates in this way.

Also a word of advice: the waiting time at the licensing department is much shorter than the post office and I suggest taking some spare green forms home in preparation for the following year’s licensing.
