SA comedian, Paul Spence takes on ‘Mr Bean’
Tickets are R160 each and R140 for pensioners and FHSSC members.
ROWAN Atkinson is not only one of the world’s wealthiest comedians, thanks to his silent ‘Mr Bean’ going global, he’s also gifted.
In Rowan Skits, Paul Spence celebrates the comic genius of the Oxford man with the mobile face by showcasing Rowan’s unique brand of verbal sketches on a wide range of risque subjects at Tina’s Hotel from Wednesday, 4 to Sunday, 8 March.
Whether holding the fort on the Graham Norton celebrity chat show, interviewing a fresh-faced Elton John at the National Theatre, portraying a draconian public school headmaster or an unctuous archdeacon, Rowan Atkinson knows just how to tweak our funny bones in unexpectedly hilarious directions.
An actor with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK for seven years, Paul Spence has acted and directed in theatres from Edinburgh to Copenhagen, Vienna to Tokyo.
Paul currently entertains audiences with cabaret and theatre shows in venues across South Africa and directs his anarchic amateur dramatic company, The Upstagers, in regular shows at the Schlesinger Theatre, Michaelhouse.
Tickets are R160 each and R140 for pensioners and FHSSC members.
