WESTVILLE Boys’ High School water polo teams took on Highway rivals, Kearsney College on the weekend.
WBHS junior B hybrid team started the day, and with some ecstatic cheering and excitement, they came away with a 11 – 5 win.
“The U14A side then had a go but unfortunately came short, losing 4 – 9. The 2nd side had a game worthy of spectators. The goal by goal exchange was the certain game of the day, with a last attack goal resulting in a 6 – 5 win,” said head of aquatics, Jarred Appelgryn.
The U15A team closed off proceedings for the day. The game ebbed and flowed but still managed to have some exciting passages of play and goals, with WBHS taking a well earned 17 – 6 win.
