Seventeen injured in minibus accident on R21

Seventeen people were transported to various hospitals following a collision between a minibus taxi and two vehicles on R21 before the Pomona off-ramp on Wednesday morning.

According to Eric Maloka, Ekurhuleni emergency services’ spokesperson, six of the patients sustained moderate injuries.

“Eleven of the patients sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital for further medical treatment and observation,” said Maloka.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
