Dog training can be fun and enjoyable and that is also the aim of Birch Acres Dog Training Club.
It also improves the relationship between you and your canine companion and everyone knows, a well-trained dog is a pleasure to everyone at home and wherever you go.
Birch Acres Dog Training Club’s new intake registration day is on September 7. The club is a non-profit canine training facility and caters for all your training requirements.
Intake times are 10am for puppies, 12.30pm for bridging 1 and 2, beginners and scholars, and 2.30pm for all other classes and country members.
What training do they offer?
• Puppy socialising (8 weeks to 5 months old) on Saturday afternoons
• Obedience training on Saturday afternoons
• Scholars class (handlers between the ages of 8-15) on Saturday afternoons
• Agility on Thursday evenings
• Carting on Saturday afternoons
• Companion dog on Wednesday evenings
• Flyball on Saturday afternoons for beginner dogs and Monday evenings for advanced dogs
• Protection work on Saturday afternoons
• Sniffer dog on Saturday afternoons
• Trick class on Saturday afternoons
• Tracking on Saturday mornings
• Country membership for owners who wish to exercise and run their dogs within a secure environment during non-training times
Your dog must have been vaccinated (five-in-one as well as rabies) within the past 12 months to register.
The club is on the corner of Mooirivier Drive and James Wright Avenue in Norkem Park.
