Tembisa looting feared to spread to Kempton Park

In light of looting of shops in Tembisa, Kempton Park SAPS advised certain shops on West Street in Kempton Park CBD to close for business on Monday morning.

There were threats of a group of people having boarded a train, headed to Kempton Park to look for shops in the city.

It is unclear where the people would be travelling from but for safety reasons police undertook to monitor the situation and advised shops to close.

The looting in Tembisa is alleged to have started during the early hours of Monday morning with videos and photos of the looting circulating on social media.
