Mcola invites you to a night of faith at Ivory Park church
Christian hip-hop concert with Mcola in October, don't miss out.
Christian hip-hop musician Mcola will host a music concert at New Beings Church in Ivory Park on October 5.
The concert will start at 5pm and will feature fellow Christian hip-hop musicians Katleho & Julz, as well as the MC for the day, Sipho Jordan (comedian).
Colani Henry-junior Phiri, better known by his stage name MCola, is a South African hip-hop musician and songwriter born in Ngodini, Mpumalanga, who grew up in Ivory Park.
MCola started writing music at the age of 11 in 2006 after being inspired by some of his favourite rap artists then. Despite not having a recording studio for six years, MCola continued writing music with the hope that eventually he will also be a recording artist.
“In 2012, I met my friends Khangelani, Simphiwe and Maziya in high school. They gave me opportunities to record music. I recorded and released Dlala Nge Flow and Skipa as my first songs in March 2012,” said Mcola.
After the good reception of his music, MCola started performing on YFM’s Full Clip hip-hop show and performed live at hip-hop sessions in Tembisa and Midrand.
MCola released his first mixtape, Drop Out, for free downloads in August 2015. It was well received and a demand was then placed on him to release an album.
On November 4, 2017, MCola release his debut album, Lindiwe, which features his hit song Alleluia.
“I continue to record, release and perform my music with a message of love, faith and hope. This year I am hosting my own musical concert featuring fellow artist,” added Mcola.
“The first concert is in October. Tickets are available for R100 and R150 from me and my team by contacting 061 279 0349 or 081 772 7644, or at any Pick n Pay nationwide,” said Mcola.
