Organiser Sarah Katende said every month they have activities based on the theme of the month

Pursuit, a non-profit organisation from Tembisa, hosted a fun day in Ivory Park Extension 14 on September 1.

The organisation helps Grade Eight to 12 learners with their academics. They also have Saturday programmes that assist youngsters build personal skills, as well as Thursday events where they help matrics revise previous exam papers.

Organiser Sarah Katende said every month they have activities based on the theme of the month.

“Learners from different schools come together and decide to do something that can unite the community and have fun as well, so they chose a fun day for August.”

There were jumping castles, pageants, face-paintings and dance performances. Sports included street soccer and netball.

Programme director Sizophila Zondo said the event helped to bring young people together for a common cause, which is to have fun.

Khanyisile Nkosi, in possession of the ball, passes it on.
