A 22-year-old suspect was arrested at Zulu Jump in Kagiso on 2 July for being in the possession of live ammunition.
The sector police on duty were patrolling the area when they received a tip-off of a dealer that sells dagga from a house in the area.
The police proceeded to the given address and on arrival found a man in the shack.
While conducting a search, the police found two packets of dagga that were wrapped in paper and plastic.
“They also found six rounds of live ammunition inside black Nike tekkies, cellphone airtime vouchers, twenty packets of cigarettes and three containers of infant milk powder,” says Kagiso SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.
The suspect was arrested on the spot and the items were confiscated.
The suspect was detained at the Kagiso Police Station and a case docket was opened. The suspect will appear in court soon.
