Man found in pool of blood

Another man has been found dead, lying in a pool of his own blood.

On 29 June a 19-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with a murder that was reported in Kagiso Extension 8 on 29 June.

A police officer was patrolling near a local primary school in Kagiso in the early morning hours of 22 June when he received a complaint of a murder.

On arrival at the scene the officer stumbled upon the victim lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood.

“An unknown male was lying on the ground, facing upwards in a pool of blood,” says Kagiso SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.

The victim was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.

The victim was found with multiple stab wounds to his chest and back. He was found by his brother who immediately alerted the police.

A search was called for and the suspect was apprehended on 29 June.

The suspect was detained at the Kagiso Police Station where a case docket was opened against him.

The suspect will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of murder.
