
A Kagiso rapist is due to appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court after taking advantage of a friend and raping her on 29 June.
It is alleged that the incident occurred on 29 June when the complainant was visiting her friend at his place.
She was waiting for her brother to bring her vehicle at 9pm when her friend offered her an alcoholic beverage.
“While waiting, the suspect offered some drinks and later forced her into his bedroom where they sat on his bed,” says Kagiso SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.
After a few drinks the friend demanded a kiss from the complainant, which she refused. The suspect reacted by slapping the complainant and kissed the complainant by using force.
He undressed and raped her after which he forced her to continue drinking alcohol until she passed out at his place.
The morning after the complainant woke up and immediately reported the incident to the police.
The Kagiso SAPS traced and arrested the suspect in Kagiso’s Zulu Jump section.
He was later detained at the Kagiso Police Station where a case docket of rape was opened against him.
The suspect made a brief appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 4 July.
