Neo Molaudzi was sentenced to 28 years in jail for robbing and raping a 13-year-old boy in 2012.
Caxton’s daily newspaper, The Citizen reported that Magistrate Herman Badenhorst told Molaudzi (22) that in prison he can rape prisoners if he feels like it; at least he will not be around little children.
Molaudzi was sentenced following his trial in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.
Molaudzi attacked the boy, who is now 14, while he was walking to school in September 2012.
He threatened the boy with a piece of broken glass and pulled him into an alley where he raped and robbed him of R10.
Molaudzi has previous convictions for burglary and theft.
The newspaper reported that Molaudzi asked for leave to appeal, but Badenhorst refused and said the DNA evidence was overwhelming, the rapist’s testimony had been false and he had tried to mislead the court.
